Houston Pineda - An American Worth Remembering

Join us for the Fourth Annual (Concert in the Park) benefiting the Houston J. Pineda Memorial Scholarship Fund. This scholarship was established five years ago after the untimely death of my son Houston and it is awarded to select graduates of West Chicago Community H. S.

Who Was Houston?
Houston was your average American kid a charming, outgoing, goofy, stubborn, loving kid who enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

As a child, Houston started off a little on the shy side but soon grew into a very popular fun-loving teenager.

Like most kids, Houston was involved in sports playing AYSO soccer in the fall, and Little League Baseball in the summer. In middle school and in his freshman year of high school, Houston began wrestling, but baseball was his passion. He loved playing the game itself, of course, but being with his teammates on and off the field was his favorite time.
